High Quality Video: On Message. On Time. On Budget
Over a decade of marketing experience combined with 15 years behind a camera enable me to craft videos that tell your unique story while engaging and mobilizing your audience. Whether it’s a live broadcast, a sharply edited promo video, an interview or TV talk show, rest assured that you’re in good hands.
Attention to Detail
The difference between an okay video and a professional-quality production is in the fine details. Setting the lights just right for your face. Gently processing your voice to sound huge. Building and decorating a set to elicit the right mood. These and a myriad of other physical, technical and creative details all add up, big time. I notice those nuances and I’m here to dial everything in for you.
Audio Can Make or Break the Video
Sound makes a huge difference in how you come across on video, but somehow many video producers struggle with audio quality. My production experience began first with audio. As a musician in high school, I learned the basics of recording instruments and voices and I’ve continued to build on that since 1998, working in public and college radio then a major-market commercial radio station. I’ve also served as production sound mixer for short films and documentaries. Music fans should check out my live music videos at BPM Live Sessions.
Direction & Performance Coaching
Being comfortable and confident is important on both sides of the camera. Collaborating with me on a shoot is a calm experience where I coach you on your body language and positioning, your vocal delivery and how to better connect with your viewers. I pride myself on being able to help people relax, compose themselves and deliver the their best performance to the camera and audience.
Nervousness and tension are contagious. The director’s nerves get passed on to the on-camera talent, and then their nerves get passed on to the viewers. That makes for an uncomfortable experience for everyone and unfortunately means your viewers may not act on your message or ever watch your videos again. That’s why I run my shoots with a touch of humor and an abundance of zen.
Constant Professional & Creative Development
I owe much of my skillset to the Internet and my urge to create. I’m always watching training videos and updating my knowledge of current technologies, trends and equipment. Something that helps keep me inspired is the wide range of artistic pursuits I keep up. Photography, performing and recording music, shooting and editing video, designing studio setups, or just building something at home with my hands. I love the variety of experiences, and the skillsets all overlap and play into each other.
My favorite clients are the ones who know what they like. They’ve done their due diligence. They’re lovers of art and fashion, people with a sense of style and taste, or just plain old funky interesting people. We get acquainted and loosen up. Rather than the director dictating how it goes, we collaborate to produce the best results possible which are uniquely tailored to you and your brand.

My live broadcast career officially began in 2004 when I ran the daily live streaming production for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. These performances on the Millennium Stage were a wide variety of music, dance and multimedia pieces streamed with the best tool of that era, RealNetworks.
My degree is in Multimedia Production Technology, combining audio and video production with journalism and storytelling. I learned this industry hands-on in a television studio similar to the one in Will Ferrel’s Anchorman movies. As students we produced a weekly nightly news broadcast for the community. I was also very active in college radio, serving as the Commercial Director and hosting several shows. This foundation has led me through a 15-year production career with various roles along the way including audio specialist, voiceover artist, photographer, cinematographer, video editor, and technical director.
