Jesse found me on Yelp when he was planning his proposal to Megan. He chose Windansea Beach and we coordinated how we’d meet up without Megan knowing. This was my fourth time capturing an unpredictable but special moment like this, so I knew to expect the unexpected and brought two cameras to be sure I wouldn’t miss anything while changing lenses or camera settings.
I gave him the cue when I was ready to shoot and they walked down to the rocks near the water. Equipped with my nicest zoom lens, I snapped photos paparazzi-style to capture the moments and emotions just before and after he took a knee and popped the question. Then I walked down to join them for some couple’s portraits in the beautiful location.
We tried various ideas including some that are great for Save-the-Dates or a wedding website. To cap off the shoot, Megan & Jesse were even brave enough to jump in the ocean together!
